Tokyo 2 Days Travel Itinerary/Guide- Top 10 places to go

For my tour of Tokyo in 2 days, please watch the Youtube video:

We only had 2 days in Tokyo, and basically went for all 10 places below on the first day. You are recommended to split the following itinerary into 2 days if you have more time. On the second day, we just hang out in shopping malls at Nihonbashi, and enjoy Tokyo in a relax way!

1. Meiji Jingu Shrine
Spacious shrine ground for relaxing stroll.

2. Takeshita Street Harajuku
Teenage culture, fashion shop, fast food outlets

3. Shibuya Crossing (15min walk from Harajuku)
From 2nd floor of Starbucks, you can see this intersection where pedestrians cross from many directions

4. Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building
The observation deck at 54th floor is free, and can see paranomic view of tokyo scenaries, including tokyo tower, imperial palace, ropppingi hill, and more

5. Akihabara
This district is the Center of electronics, manga, and games
We specially enjoyed the Yodobashi Akiba, which is a 9-floors building with assorted electronics/games/toys

6. Tokyo Imperial Palace
The primary residence of the Emperor of Japan. It is a large park-like area located and contains buildings including the main palace, the private residences of the Imperial Family, museums and administrative offices.

7. Tokyo Station
The basement has lots of good food! there are shops to purchase Japanese toys.

8. Ginza
good shopping spot for working adults, with fashion, luxury activities, gourmet)

9. Tokyo Tower
The iconic tower has beautiful lighting at night!

10. Roppongi
Night life with bars, restaurants, it is foreigners/expats's favorite place!

Travel Tip:
1. Tokyo one day metro pass (600 yen, valid for 24 hours after first usage). Definitely worth the purchase because most places are connected via Metro.

Food Tip:
1. Nakau (we went to Nakau Nihonbashi which opens 24 hours, they have good food that makes you feel cozy and at home!)

2. Kantaro at Tokyo station- they have good and fresh sushi!

3. Kushi Hacchin Place- their Yakitori is delicious! (pepper bell wrapped in bacon and cheese was the highlight! You will see many local working men gathering with colleagues).
